Teens Make Health Happen
Follow-up & Possible Gameplan · Prepared for Amy Braun

Let's make Teens Make Health Happen
impossible to ignore.

A creative, low-risk way to amplify HealthCorps' mentors, reach rural schools with a virtual option, and stand up a Group Leader Challenge that leads into a Fall 2026 coast-to-coast Reality Health Games™ Throwdown — AZ + CA vs OH + PA.

Hi Amy - thank you for taking time today. Andy's invitation to the Spring into Action Community Fair brought us here. Here's what's possible.
From the Spring Fair to a bigger idea

Out & About: A Spring Intro to Health, 2026

I put this recap together after walking the Spring into Action Community Fair with Andy. You'll see the energy - and the gap we can close together.

What we admire about HealthCorps

20+ years. 2.5M teens. 300+ schools. One honest model: near-peer mentorship.

HealthCorps has built something rare - a trusted, boots-on-the-ground program led by young mentors who meet teens where they are. We respect that deeply. Our proposal isn't to replace any of it. It's to put a force multiplier underneath it.

🎯

Teens Make Health Happen

Mental health, nutrition, physical activity. 87% of participants improve in at least one targeted behavior. Your model works - let's help it scale.

🏫

Urban + Rural, Side by Side

You already serve high-need schools in 10 states. The rural footprint is where staffing pressure is fiercest - and where a virtual coach/tutor layer pays for itself.

🤝

Near-Peer Mentorship

College-age mentors change lives. Our platform makes those mentors more powerful - not replaced - with instant curriculum, gamified challenges, and standards-aligned lessons.

A note on your Board

With leaders like Pam Kehaly (CEO, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona) and representation from Banner Health on your Board, HealthCorps sits at exactly the table where prevention, payer-provider alignment, and youth health converge. That's rare - and a natural fit for where The Force for Health Network is headed (FHIR/EHR-ready prevention education, measurable engagement, Network-level impact data).

Why we're a fit

You have the relationships. We have the engine.

We don't want to compete for the same foundation dollars. We want to make each HealthCorps mentor roughly 3x more effective - and give you a virtual option for schools you can't physically staff.

What HealthCorps brings

  • Trusted brand and 20-year track record in teen health
  • Deep school partnerships across 10 states
  • Near-peer mentors who are already in the building
  • Community fairs, family engagement, and local credibility
  • Board-level alignment with AZ health system leaders

What Force for Health adds

  • Virtual Coach Lucy + Virtual Dr. Rob AI tutors - 24/7, 30+ languages, safe for K-12
  • Reality Health Games: Prevention Bingo, gamified challenges, coins, badges, streaks
  • Composer & Power Builder tools so teens build their own simulations, songs, games & advocacy projects
  • Standards-aligned lessons (NHES, NGSS, SHAPE, ISTE, ASCD, CASEL) - mentors ship a full class in minutes
  • A virtual delivery mode for rural and under-staffed schools (same curriculum, no travel)
  • Network-level aggregate impact data you can show funders and your Board
Student Voice · Built for Teens Who Lead

Put the mic in their hands: Composer & Power Builder Tools.

HealthCorps teens already lead school-wide health projects. Imagine giving every mentor and every student a no-code creative studio where they can build, remix, and publish their own health advocacy - then showcase it across the FFH Network.

1. Build

A mentor or teen opens any Composer tool, picks a health topic from their Bingo card, and drags in media, quizzes, or their own voice.

2. Showcase

Finished projects publish to the HealthCorps x FFH Student Gallery - co-branded, shareable with family, teachers, funders, and the Board.

3. Share & Amplify

Top projects go to Omni-Media Publishing for national spotlight features. Student voices move the HealthCorps mission farther than any press release.

We support, showcase, and share student-empowered voices - because the best health messenger for a teen is another teen who built the thing.

🎮 Reality Health Games™ HealthCorps positioned as a Statewide Competing Team

Your first Reality Health Games™ Challenge is already live.

We used the Composer engine to produce 7 Spring into Health tracks across 7 genres. Every Arizonan you can get to listen and score = +10 🪙 HealthCorps Coins for them and a point on the HealthCorps statewide team score on the RHG leaderboard.

Challenge 01 · Active Now 🎧 Listen & Score Across the State

How many Arizonans can the HealthCorps team get to score these 7 tracks? Runs through Spring 2027.

Challenge 02 · Coming May 2027 🎤 Compose & Submit Your Own Song

HealthCorps groups use the same Composer engine to produce + submit their OWN track for bonus RHG points. Optional.

Important: We are NOT asking HealthCorps mentors to set down their curriculum and pick up ours. The Reality Health Games are a reporting and scoring layer sitting on top of the work you already do — a mechanism to submit your Reality Health Game projects to the Network so they earn team scores, generate impact ripples, and unlock mentoring.

Where HealthCorps is on the ground

We can meet you in every one of these markets - starting in Phoenix.

The Force for Health platform is web-first and mobile-ready. There's no deployment overhead. If a HealthCorps mentor has a laptop and a class, they have us.

Phoenix + Southern Arizona is our proposed starting point - where Andy built the relationships and where your Board already has conviction.

A bridge worth building

Andy Ortiz's leadership shouldn't leave Phoenix on May 1st.

Andy built real relationships across Arizona. With funding pressure shifting the role, we have an honest window to keep his community footprint active through a joint activation — FFH can host a local coordinator hat, anchor the Arizona leg of the Fall 2026 Coast-to-Coast Throwdown, and keep the Board's Arizona conviction visible through the transition.

A simple ask

Let us co-brand a Phoenix-anchored Group Leader cohort starting now. Andy stays on as a named community advisor as the AZ team gears up for the Fall Throwdown against CA, OH, and PA. HealthCorps keeps the credit, BCBSAZ and Banner get to see measurable engagement in their backyard, and you get a soft landing for the AZ footprint — not a cliff.

Zero cost to HealthCorps. We absorb tech, hosting, and coaching. You bring the Group Leaders, the schools, and the story.

REALITY HEALTH GAMES™ · GROUP LEADER CHALLENGE

The HealthCorps Group Leader Challenge: Get Outside & Explore Your Community

This isn't a pilot we're proposing for the summer — that window's already closed. This is the HealthCorps Group Leader Challenge: every HealthCorps mentor who steps up as a Group Leader gets their cohort onto the Reality Health Games™ board, earns team points for the work they're already doing, and qualifies their group for the Fall 2026 Coast-to-Coast Throwdown. Curriculum stays yours. Mentors stay in charge of their classrooms. We're the reporting and scoring layer that lets the work travel.

🏆 Fall 2026 Throwdown · Coast to Coast

AZ + CA vs OH + PA

The aspirational launch HealthCorps is uniquely positioned to lead: a regional Reality Health Games™ competition between the four states where you already have boots on the ground. Two coasts. Four states. One scoreboard. Every Group Leader's points roll up to their regional team.

What a Group Leader actually does + Journey Through Genre bonus track

  • Register their group on the Reality Health Games™ board with one click — group name, region, mentor on file. Group is now competing for AZ, CA, OH, or PA.
  • Keep teaching their own curriculum. Every wellness activity they already run — Bingo cards, school health projects, community walks, garden builds — gets logged as RHG activity for team points.
  • Unlock a shared Bingo board of local points of interest — state parks, murals, libraries, farmers markets, history sites, trailheads — for the Get Outside & Explore Your Community Challenge layer.
  • Earn coins, streaks, and badges for showing up, checking in, and sharing what their group learned — health + community citizenship.
  • Journey Through Genre Challenge — a literacy overlay where teens read or listen across genres tied to each stop (nonfiction, poetry, memoir, civic) and earn bonus points.
  • Use Composer + Power Builder tools to publish their group's recaps, simulations, songs, or ROI stories — all eligible for the May 2027 RHG bonus-track submittal.
  • All data flows up to a HealthCorps × FFH regional leaderboard you can show your Board, BCBSAZ, and Banner — and that fuels the Fall Throwdown narrative.
Mentor enablement

We can train up your HealthCorps team to be more powerful & effective.

Your mentors are your product. We'll give them a platform layer that makes every session sharper, every lesson standards-aligned, and every student measurable - and every student able to create.

Amplify what HealthCorps already does

Their story is already worth telling. Let's tell it bigger.

HealthCorps' social channels are a quiet superpower — real teens, real mentors, real communities. Imagine that same activity carried into our Omni-Media Publishing layer, the FFH Network newsletter, and a co-branded Student Spotlight series that puts these stories in front of funders, school leaders, and your Board.

What "amplify" looks like in practice

  • Auto-curate the best HealthCorps moments into a weekly Force for Health digest sent to our 360 Academy + Network audiences.
  • Co-brand a Student Spotlight series in our Omni-Media channels — student-built Composer projects, mentor reflections, school wins.
  • Cross-post Group Leader Challenge highlights to FFH's Reality Health Games™ audience all the way through the Fall 2026 Coast-to-Coast Throwdown.
  • Roll up engagement at the Network level so BCBSAZ & Banner can see Arizona impact in one dashboard.
  • Showcase student creators in a HealthCorps x FFH Hall of Voices — their songs, sims, ROI calculators, and PSAs front and center.
